Latvijas tilti finishes EUR 7.38 mln project in Lithuania

Construction company Latvijas tilti has finished a EUR 7.38 million project in Lithuania, according to the company's announcement submitted to the "Nasdaq Riga" stock exchange, reports LETA.

Latvijas tilti, as a principal partner in association with the Lithuanian company Kauno Keliai, realized the reconstruction of Gelezinio Vilko street from A.Gostauto Street to M.K.Ciurlionio Street in Vilnius, Lithuania. One of the Vilnius' most important traffic junctions – a 600 meter long overpass and a 1,100 meter long hack on Gelezinio Vilko Street – was officially opened on November 24, 2014. Vilnius Mayor Arturas Zuokas and Lithuanian Transport Minister Rimantas Sinkevicius participated in the opening ceremony.

 

The reconstruction works began in June 2012.

 

Contract works were done for a total of LTL 25.5 million (EUR 7.38 million), not including VAT.

 

Latvijas tilti operated with EUR 15.688 turnover in the first half of 2014, which is 13.1%s more than in the first half of 2013. The company turned over EUR 13.87 million in the first half of 2013.

 

Latvijas tilti earned EUR 329,598 in the first half of 2014, which is twice as much as in the first half of 2013, when the company earned EUR 149,530.

 

Latvijas tilti was founded in 1942 as a state-owned enterprise. In 1997, the majority of the company's shares was bought by Latvijas Novitates komplekss, which now owns 89.69% of shares.
