In recent years, over 45 million euros have been invested in the Estonian environmental emergency response capability. The biggest investment was acquisition of multifunctional pollution fight vessel "Kindral Kurvits".
Investments continue in the 2014-2020 period, when nearly 60 million euros is planned for it. The focus is on the forest and wildfires and enhancing the capacity of marine pollution fight.
