Estonian state-owned port operator AS Tallinna Sadam (Port of Tallinn) posted an unaudited turnover of 88 million euros and net profit of 34.2 million euros in the first nine months of this year, the company announced, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

Compared to the same period last year, the turnover grew by 10% and profit by 26%.

Nine-month figures were the best ever financial results for the company as well as in terms of the number of passengers.

Tallinna Sadam operating expenses increased by 2.2% in the first three quarters to 41.4 million euros compared to the same period last year.

Tallinna Sadam CEO Ain Kaljurand explained that revenues from traditional port activities as well as using icebreaker Botnica successfully in offshore work during the summer navigation period contributed to revenue and profit growth.
