Estonian Air has signed a cooperation agreement with tour operators Novatours and TEZ Tour to increase its share on the market of charter flights. According to the agreement Estonian Air will operate flights to Turkey and Croatia in 2015, reports BC airline’s press service.

“This agreement is good news for the airline, tour operators and to all holiday takers from Estonia. It is convenient for passengers to communicate on board of an aircraft in their own language, as well as to see smiling crew members of their domestic airline on their holiday commute. We pay more attention to the market of charter flights so that we can keep our aircraft in regular operation and thus use the free capacity of our fleet economically,” said Indrek Randveer, the CCO of Estonian Air.

Estonian Air flights to Antalya in Turkey, which are serviced in equal capacity by Novatours and TEZ Tour, will be operated once a week on Saturdays from the end of April until the end of October. Estonian Air flights to Rijeka in Croatia, served in partnership with Novatours, will be operated once a week on Fridays from June to August 2015.

Tour operator Novatours started its 2015 summer season sales already in the middle of October and estimates an approximate 10 percent increase in summer season passenger volumes. “We had been looking for a new solution in terms of flight partners to cater for increased passenger volumes for a while. We preferred Estonian Air as their fleet fit with our growing needs the best. We have also had really positive experiences with Estonian Air in the past,” said Andree Uustal, the CEO and Board Member of Novatours. “Estonian Air’s aircraft are economical and their flight range is very suitable for operating trips to Rijeka and Antalya,” Uustal added.

Tatjana Arhipova, the CEO of TEZ Tour, also shared her comments on the agreement: “The volume of flights to Turkey has increased from year to year, so we had a need for an additional flight partner. Service quality is very important to us. Therefore we decided to operate additional flights to Turkey in cooperation with Estonian Air who has a fully modern fleet. We share similar business principles as both TEZ Tour and Estonian Air aim to provide its customers with a stable, secure and customer friendly service.”

Estonian Air has signed cooperation agreements with several other Estonian tour operators. Altogether, Estonian Air will fly to nearly 30 well known holiday destinations from Estonia in 2015. Estonian Air fleet consists of seven aircrafts: four Embraer 170 and three CRJ900 NextGen.
