Estonian travel companies targeting superrich from Kuwait

Chief executives of Kuwei’ts eight largest travel agencies will visit Estonia in the final week of October on the invitation of travel agency Wris, writes Eesti Päevaleht, cites LETA/Baltic Business News.

In cooperation with Turkish Airlines, Wris plans t omake Estonia a new and exciting travel destination for wealthy Kuwaitis.

 

Ulvi Põld, marketing manager of Wris, said that representatives of Kuwaiti travel agencies are especially interested to study the standard of our accommodation standard. „We will be showing them our best four- and five-star hotels,” said Põld.

 

In Estonia, the delegation will also meet also with Andre Pung, Estonian ambassador in Kuwait who resides in Estonia.

 

The level of reception is shown also by the fact that in Estonia the representatives will meet with parliament speaker Jüri Ratas who will give them a tour of the Riigikogu.

 

Põld said that for Kuwaitis, Estonia is very different and exotic, especially during wintertime.

 

Tarmo Mutso, head of the tourism development department of Enterprise Estonia, said that Kuwaitis may be accustomed to riches, but Estonia can offer them a different kind of wealth – pure nature, wildlife, picking berries, snow and four seasons.

 

The population of Kuwait is 3.5 million and the country’s surface area is 17,820 square kilometres. Kuwait is among the world’s five richest countries where average salary is equal to 3,300 euros.
