Latvenergo – Latvia's most valuable company for 6th consecutive year in 2014

Print versionPower utility company Latvenergo has been named Latvia's most valuable company for the sixth year in a row, according to a study carried out by investment banking company Prudentia and stock exchange NASDAQ OMX Riga in collaboration with Lursoft IT and business magazine "Kapitals", reports LETA.

The value of the company is estimated at EUR 1.3 billion, 15% more than in 2013, when the company's value was estimated at EUR 1.12 billion.
Swedbank is in second place for the fifth consecutive year, with its value at EUR 848 million or 28% more than last year, when the bank's value was EUR 663 million.
Latvia's State Forests is in third place with its value set at EUR 801 million, a 80% increase on 2013 (EUR 446 million).
Ventspils Nafta is fourth with the company's value set at EUR 644 million, a 38% increase on last year (EUR 467 million).
Railroad company Latvijas Dzelzcels is the fifth most valuable company, worth EUR 575 million. This is 5% less than last year (EUR 602 million).
