Turnover of SMEs in Latvia grew by 18% in 2013

Print versionTurnover by small and medium sized businesses in Latvia in 2013 was up by an average of 18%, reaching almost EUR 28,000 per company, the board chairman of the registry of enterprises Lursoft Iluta Riekstins said in a forum of small and medium sized business yesterday, cites LETA/Nozare.lv.

Riekstins said that the average turnover per company of EUR 28,000 is approximately EUR 1,750 more than the previous year. At the same time, the average number of employees at these small and medium sized businesses has increased from two to three.
According to Lursoft, there were 52,117 companies in Latvia last year that had an average turnover of EUR 7,000 per employee, and these companies employed over 590,000 persons.
