Number of Estonian Air passengers increased third month in a row in August
In August Estonian Air operated 935 flights, an increase of 6.4%.
“We are happy to see that the passenger’s volume has been in upward trend for several months. The increase in passenger volume has been influenced by bigger number of destinations and good performance of charter flights,” says Indrek Randveer, the CCO of Estonian Air. “In August the most popular destinations were Split, Berlin and Nice, which shows that our summer destinations have been very well received by customers. Our Kiev route continues to perform with lower passenger volumes due to the uncertain situation in Ukraine,” added Randveer.
In the first eight months Estonian Air carried altogether 368,263 passengers, a decrease of 2.6% compared to 2013. In the same period, Estonian Air operated 7,163 flights, which is 2.8% less compared to the same period last year.
The 15-minute punctuality of Estonian Air flights in the first eight months was 92.7%, an increase of 2 percentage points compared to the same period last year. The regularity was 99.3%, a decrease of 0.3 percentage points compared to the same period last year. In August the punctuality was 90.2 and regularity 99.3 percentage.
