Vilnius Airport serviced record number of passengers in August

Print versionVilnius International Airport reached a new activity record for August 2014 – more than 301,000 passengers travelled through the airport, reports LETA/ELTA.

The summer season is the most active, taking into account the number of flights and passengers in Vilnius International Airport. However, last August all previous results for this month were improved.
In August 2014, compared with August 2013, the number of passengers increased by 11 percent and for the second time in the airports history surpassed the mark of 300,000 passengers per month.
Director of Vilnius International Airport Arturas Stankevicius says that the number of inbound and outbound passengers has exceeded expectations, thus the two millionth passenger is now expected to travel not in October, like last year, but in September.
