In 2011, one micro-enterprise turned over EUR 8,529 on the average, while in 2013, the figure reached EUR 12,389, which is 45.26% more than two years before, reports LETA/Nozare.lv, according to a study conducted by Lursoft.

The study indicates that in 2011, the average turnover was largely affected by the fact that micro-enterprises could be registered in Latvia for only one year, since May 2010, and they needed time to get acquainted with market specifics as well as attract suppliers and clients.

Micro-enterprises are demonstrating better results with each passing year, nevertheless, their average turnover is still two times lower than the average indicator for all companies registered in Latvia.

Micro-enterprises' total turnover in 2012 was EUR 434.1 million – 0.84% of the total amount of turnover of all Latvian enterprises. In 2013, the proportion of micro-enterprises annual turnover, EUR 681.34 million, increased to 1.33%.

The most successful micro-enterprise last year was CS Ring with a turnover of EUR 21.02 million, followed by DSL – EUR 11.25 million, and Sebrs – EUR 9.79 million.

The average losses of a micro-enterprise are rather low, nevertheless, Lursoft study indicates that the amount tends to increase with every year.
