Cosmetics and household goods retailer Drogas turnover amounted to EUR 63.16 million in 2013, according to information provided by Firmas.lv, cites LETA.

This is 7.29% more than in 2012, when the company's turnover was EUR 58.87 million. Meanwhile, the company's profit reached EUR 8.84 million last year, which is 22.4% more than in 2012, when the profit was EUR 7.22 million.

Drogas management report attributes these results to a stable general economic situation and recovery of the retail sector.

In 2013, the company opened two new outlets, continued improving the image look of the existing ones, and proceeded carrying out market research to determine demand trends.

The total number of Drogas outlets reached 129 at the end of 2013, 79 of which are located in Latvia. Drogas subsidiary in Lithuania concluded last year with a profit, as well as improved its market share in the country by opening three new outlets.

This year, the company will continue expanding in Latvia and develop its outlets in Lithuania.

The first Drogas outlet was opened in Riga in December 1993. The company's share capital is EUR 1,821,275. In 2004, Drogas became part of A.S. Watson group, which owns 13 retail brands in 18 countries in Europe and Asia, running a total of 3,700 outlets.
