Euroaptieka pharmacies and wholesale company posts high turnover in 2013

Euroaptieka farmacija, the company that runs the Euroaptieka chain of pharmacies in Latvia, posted EUR 32.82 million in turnover last year, whereas pharmaceutical wholesale company Euroaptieka turned over EUR 32.54 million, informs NOZARE.LV/LETA.

Euroaptieka farmacija turnover last year was 22 percent higher than in 2013. The company's profit totaled EUR 2.01 million last year, 33 percent up from 2012.


The wholesale company's turnover increased 11 percent in 2013, and profit increased from EUR 1.05 million in 2012 to EUR 1.4 million last year.


At the moment, there are 49 Euroaptieka pharmacies in Latvia, said Euroaptieka farmacija and Euroaptieka CEO Lina Jakiene, adding that the figure would further increase this year.


Both companies were established in 2011 and both belong to Lithuania's Euroapotheca, which in turns belong to Vilniaus prekyba, the owner of the Maxima chain stores.
