"Om Nom Nom", created by board game company Brain Games, has received the Silver Award in the prominent Great Britain board game contest "The Imagination Gaming Family&Education Awards", Egils Grasmanis, the chairman of the board of Brain Games, informed LETA.

The game, first issued in autumn 2013, has also gained recognition at several board game exhibitions.

"The Imagination Gaming Family&Education Awards", in their second year, had 75 games selected by the organizers. The winner was determined by both teachers and families with children, who could play the games during the exhibition "UK Games Expo".

"Om Nom Nom" is a simple family board game, enjoyed by both adults and children from the age of six.. The game has simple rules, but the possible variation of tactics and chance to predict the moves of other players makes it interesting. The board consists of three separate food chains, the gamers have hunter cards in their hands, whereas the prey is on the board. Catching the prey scores victory points, but every player must be quite cautious and cunning, otherwise the hunters can turn into prey.

The game is illustrated by the well-known Latvian illustrator Reinis Petersons. The creator of the game is an Estonian – Meelis Looveer, for whom this is the second game he has created in collaboration with Brain Games.

Grasmanis admits that awards are one of the main success factors of board games. "Om Nom Nom" is the most acknowledged international Brain Games board game.

"Om Nom Nom" can be purchased not not only in the Baltic States, but also in Germany, France, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Russia, Canada, USA, Japan, and Hong Kong.
