"Culture Free Tour" offers tours around Riga

Print versionFrom June 13, "Riga Culture Free Tour" will offer free tours around Riga to tourists and local visitors, director of Travel Jam Laura Plumina informed LETA.

"Riga Culture Free Tour" tours are conducted in English, and are dedicated to history, architecture and famous residents of Riga.
The tour starts every day at 12 noon at the Rainis monument in Esplanade Park. The route includes various sights – Art Academy of Latvia, Art Nouveau district, Kronvalda park, Old Town of Riga, Dome Square, House of the Blackheads, and many other interesting places in Riga.
"Riga Culture Free Tour" was established with an aim to present Riga as a place of rich cultural heritage. According to Plumina, Travel Jam was encouraged to organize "Riga Culture Free Tour" by the fact that Riga is the European Capital of Culture 2014.
All tour guides are certified professionals who are educated in the field of culture.
