Estonia's second largest alcohol producer Altia Eesti AS saw its sales revenue grow by nearly 6% in 2013 to 32.5 million euros, LETA/Äripäev.ee reports.

The company paid 17.6 mln euros of it as excise tax in Estonia. In a year, the company sold 5.3 million litres of alcohol, which was the same as in 2012.

"Thanks to higher effectiveness and increase of the share of more expensive products in the portfolio, Altia Eesti AS operating profit grew to 1.34 million euros but generally last year's results are comparable to those of 2012," Altia Eesti board member Kristel Mets said.

Mets said that Altia Eesti AS will continue implementing their development plans based on the decision of Altia Corporation to consolidate production of all Estonian and Latvian trademarks to Tabasalu near Tallinn and continue expanding product portfolio.
