Latvia registers EU's third largest increase in nights spent by tourists at hotels in 2013

In 2013, the number of night tourists spent at Latvian hotels and other accommodation establishments increased by 7.3%, which is the third largest increase amongst EU members, informs LETA, referring to Eurostat.

Greece saw the largest increase in the number of nights tourists spent at accommodation establishments – by 11.7%, followed by Malta – 7.8%.

 

Meanwhile, Lithuania saw a 4.2% rise in the number of nights spent by tourists, while Estonia saw a 3.2% rise.

 

Meanwhile, Italy registered the largest reduction of nights spent – 4.6%, followed by Cyprus – 3.7%, and the Czech Republic – 1.2%.
