It is the 17th time, the contest 2013 Lithuanian Product of Year was taking place.

Having summarized the conclusions of the experts, the 2-level commission representing the experts and various branches of industry and business awarded 71 gold medals and 11 silver medals for the companies' products and services.

In the ceremony, Butkevicius thanked the industrialists and businessmen and highlighted that thanks for them the development of our country's economy was one of the most rapid in the European Union (EU).

"The Product of Year is a very honourable nomination. The award is presented for the leaders of the industry and business who are selected by the experts and whose creativity, enterpreuship and drive are the part of the modern life of Lithuania," said Butkevicius.
