Print versionConstruction company Merks posted LVL 1.27 million in profit last year, according to Firmas.lv data. In 2011, Merks posted LVL 3.58 million in losses, writes LETA/Nozare.lv.

Merks turnover in 2012 amounted to LVL 26.6 million, 4% down from 2011.
The company's management report says that building construction accounts for 50% of the company's turnover last year, construction of various infrastructure facilities for 24%, and sale of apartments built by Merks for 26%.
The key construction projects last year include a new wood processing facility for Rigas mezi, reconstruction of part of the Children's Clinical University Hospital, construction of a new building for Latvia University of Agriculture's Veterinary Medicine School in Jelgava. Also last year, construction of the Skanstes virsotnes apartment building complex was completed.
Merks belongs to the Estonian joint-stock company Merko Ehitus.
