Lithuanian railway to launch new fast train to Minsk

As of May 26 Lithuanian Railway company Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai will begin the operation of a new train which will run the route Vilnius-Minsk-Vilnius twice a day, reports LETA/ELTA.

This modern diesel train is produced by the Polish company PESA Bydgoszcz.

 

Also the procedure of baggage check will be changed for passengers going to the Belarusian capital. Now it will take place at the Vilnius railway station terminal. Due to these changes travel by train between the capitals of Lithuania and Belarus will get shorter by half an hour and will take two and a half hours.
