Lithuanian shipping company's earnings increased in January-March

Print versionLithuanian shipping company earned income in amount of 25.6 million litas in January-March, 2013, and, if compared to the same months of 2012 income of 18.1 million litas, has increased by 41%, informed LETA the company.

EBITDA of the company during January-March, 2013, was 1.9 million litas, and, if compared to the same months of 2012, EBITDA of 1.6 million litas, has increased by 19%.
The loss during January-March, 2013 was 5.2 million litas. The loss of the same months of 2012 was one million litas. Increased loss is mainly related to negative impact of currency exchange (non-monetary item) – 2.4 million litas. LSC's long-term investments (ships’ repairs) during January-March, 2013 were three million litas, and, if compared to the same months of 2012 have increased by 2.9 million litas.
