Lithuania records EU's 2nd steepest increase in export in 2 months

Print versionLatvia's export increased eight% in the first two months of 2013, the fourth steepest increase across the European Union, according to the latest data from Eurostat. The steepest increase in export was recorded in Bulgaria – 18%, followed by Lithuania – 16%, and Greece – 11%, informs LETA.

Similar to Latvia, Romania, Cyprus and Estonia also recorded 8% increases in export in January-February.
The steepest decreases in export were recorded in Malta – 26%, Luxembourg – 23%, and Ireland – 11%.
Latvia's import increased by 1% in January-February, the smallest increase in the EU.
Bulgaria had the largest increase in imports in the first two months – 10%, followed by Lithuania – nine%, as well as Greece and Estonia – 7% each.
The largest decreases in import were recorded in Malta – 26%, and Cyprus – 9%.
