BC, Tallinn, 16.05.2013.Print version
Estonian entrepreneurs invested approximately 25 millio euros in construction and operation of a lead-acid accumulator reprocessing plant, LETA informs, referring to the Estonian news portal dv.ee.

The plant will be located in Russia, nearby Estonia-Russia border. The factory is targeted to compete with Russian factories which currently operate and attract their clients.

Among investors, there are a company Ambient Sound Investments and entrepreneurs Jan Puusaag, Kajdo Hammer and Aivar Berzin. One fifth of the enterprise belongs to Italian company Engitec Technologies SpA which provides (produces and supports) corresponding technologies.

Plant project actually began as early as 2006-2007, but in 2008 was shelved due to the economic downturn. However, last June, investors got together and started the construction of the plant.

Lead output of 35,000 tons of accumulators totals 25,000 tons.
