The first marker was ceremonially installed today at a Haapsalu resort, erected in 1898, Enterprise Estonia said in a press release.
The goal of QR codes is to provide domestic and foreign tourists with additional information about the tourism sites, witch otherwise may remain relatively anonymous.
The project is the result of cooperation between the National Heritage Board and Enterprise Estonia, and is funded by EU regional funds.
May is Heritage Conservation Month.
