Pieno Zvaigzdes's sales grow by 7% in January- June

Print versionBased on preliminary unaudited results of the Lithuania-based milk production company Pieno Zvaigzdes, the company's sales over six months of 2012 accounted for 360.9 million litas, 7% higher as compared to a year ago, the company said in a statement. Sales increased in both domestic and export markets.

The sales were 337.2 million litas over six months in 2011.
Export volumes increased by 10%, and the domestic sales increased by 4%.
Over the six months of the year, the company's EBITDA accounted for 25.1 million litas, and decreased by 19% as compared to EBITDA of 31.1 million litas a year ago, writes LETA/ELTA.
The company earned net profit of 6.6 million litas, or 40% less as compared to net profit of 11.1 million litas over same period in 2011.
Decrease of milk products prices in export markets had the major impact on the company's profit decrease.
