Latvian plywood and particle board producers achieve record net turnover in H1

Print versionParticle board and plywood producers' income in the first six months of 2012 exceeded the pre-crisis net turnover by 20%, newspaper Dienas Bizness writes today.

According to association Latvijas Koks data on the first half-year, the net turnover of the members of the association was LVL 136.2 million, up from LVL 121.9 million in the first half of 2011, reports LETA.
In the first six months of 2007, Latvijas Koks companies' net turnover was LVL 114.8 million.
Plywood and plywood product makers, joint-stock Latvijas Finieris and especially Verems, have been able to use the market situation to their advantage, increasing the volumes of production and supplies, which resulted in higher income.
