Kaunas airport's passenger flow increased by 2.2% in H1

Print versionKaunas airport served 448,569 passengers in the first six months of the year 2012, which was 2.2% more as comparison with a corresponding period last year, Lithuanian business paper Verslo Zinios reports.

Director General of the Kaunas Airport Arijandas Sliupas positively valued the results registered in the first quarter, writes LETA/ELTA.
"In June this year, the number of travelers increased 16% as compared to the corresponding period last year", said Sliupas.
In the summer, Kaunas airport services new routes to Cypras, Malta and Mallorca, as well as flights to Palma de Mallorca, Dublin, London, Liverpool, Frankfurt, Hannah, Birmingham, Brussels, Bristol, Oslo, Tampere, Edinbourgh, Alicante, Rhodos, Kos, Stockholm, Lids, Bradford, Cyprus, Malta and Reykjavik.
