Print versionEstonian Air breaks 100,000-passenger-per-month barrier in June 2012. "This is an all-time record," said Rauno Parras, the company's chief communications officer.
The passenger count is close to double the 58,000 registered in the same month last year. In addition, the share of seats occupied on flights this month stood at 78%, whereas a year ago the figure stood at 66%, the company said in a statement.
The company, which has ended every year since 2005 in losses, replaced its management last year and started operating under a new strategy, writes news.err.ee.
Results have so far not shown up on its yearly balance sheet, however. The company finished 2011 in the red by 17.3 million euros, the largest loss in its history.
