Tallinn stock exchange posts strong gains in H1
In the first half of 2011, it had fallen by 7.8%.
The best performance of the first half of this year took place in February, when bourse index OMXT gained 8.2%. OMXT achieved the highest level this year, 635.72 points, at the beginning of May.
The biggest gains were in the first half of the year posted by Nordecon, 30% to 1.17 euros and Baltika, 29.33%. Arco Vara gained 19.9%, Olympic EG 22.41%. The share of Järvevana that is listed in the supplementary list, gained 27.78% after Toomas Annus was acquitted in the land exchange court process.
Two share posted falls – Viisnurk by 19.14% to 1.31 euros and Ekspress Grupp by 2%.
Last year, Tallinn bourse fell by 24%, while in 2010, OMXT had surged by 73% and in 2009, by 47%.
The peak level of recent times of Tallinn bourse was in February 2007, when OMXT was at the level of 1,011 points.
