The airline will offer two weekly flights between the two cities – on Tuesdays and Saturdays, writes LETA.
The first passengers will be greeted with special gifts and souvenirs, prepared by the airport in cooperation with LIVE RĪGA and the Latvian Tourism Development Agency.
"Spain is a popular destination among many Latvian tourists, especially during the vacation period. It is now much more convenient to plan these trips thanks to direct flights to Madrid," emphasizes the airport's CEO Arnis Luhse.
Iberia Express will fly Madrid-Riga-Madrid July 3 through September 15.
