"We are planning to produce the first production samples at the end of December and should be ready to launch production at the beginning of 2013," predicted Osmanis.
The company is currently looking for employees. Initially, EuroLCDs will employ 10-15 people. In two years, their number will grow to 50. Two-thirds of the first employees will be engineers, the rest – technicians and operators. It is possible to find solid and qualified personnel. "There are mostly well-educated people in Latvia. At the moment, we are speaking with many Ventspils University College graduates and some of our engineers will probably be among them, pointed out Osmanis.
As reported, EuroLCDs will be the largest 3D technology factory in Europe.
EuroLCDs will manufacture 3D glasses, lenses, welding lenses and other 3D products.
The factory's products will be aimed at producers, medical and military businesses, but not end-consumers. EuroLCDs production will be sold mostly in Europe.
