Homburg Academy Summer Program Accredited
The professional associations awarding professional development credits are: the Appraisal Institute of Canada; the Architects Association of Prince Edward Island; the Building Owners and Managers Institute Canada; the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals; the Canadian National Association of Real Estate Appraisers; and the Nova Scotia Real Estate Association, informs BC communications officer at Homburg Institute Canada Ms Amanda Morrison.
Dr Jarrod Wiener, President and Vice-Chancellor said: “Six professional bodies in Canada examined our curriculum and stamped their approval on the quality. We are off to a great start if these industry leaders have confidence in us”.
There will be three intensive courses of 3-4 days each, taught in a condensed executive-style with lectures, workshops, and simulations. Dr Tom Geurts from George Washington University will teach real estate finance from 11-15 June. Roger Staiger from Johns Hopkins and Georgetown Universities will teach asset repositioning from 18-21 June; and Dr Juan Diaz with Dr Tillman Prinz, Secretary-General of the German Federation of Architects, will teach negotiation from 27-30 June.
“We are delighted to be bringing world-class professors to Charlottetown. We hope they bring lots of activity with them. We want to promote destination education and knowledge tourism to PEI”, said Dr Wiener.
Attendees include delegations from Homburg Academy partner universities, including numerous students from New Delhi, India.
