KMM Metals mostly produces copper and aluminum alloys – bronze bars and pipes. Last year, KMM Metals output exceeded 3,000 tons. In the first two months of 2012, the company's production volume was well over 2,000 tons, a twofold increase on the respective period in 2011, explained Niedra.
In 2013, KMM Metals will mark ten years in business, becoming the second or third largest producer of this type in Europe. The company hopes to achieve a solid second place this year, reports LETA.
The first place is held by a very large German company – KS Gleitlager, which put out 15,000 tons of various products per year during "the good years" and 11,000 to 12,000 tons a year after the crisis. KMM Metals hopes to produce more than 4,000 tons this year, securing a solid second spot, said Niedra.
KMM Metals operated with LVL 47.87 million in turnover in 2011, 37% more than in 2010, when the company turned over LVL 34.93 million. KMM Metals profit amounted to LVL 295,262 last year, a 21.7% increase on 201.
