Estonia opens honorary consulate in Gdańsk

On Thursday, Estonian Yesterday, 17 May, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Legal and Consular Affairs Lauri Bambus opened Estonia’s honorary consulate in Gdańsk. It is Estonia’s fourth honorary consulate in Poland.

Estonia’s new honorary consul in Gdańsk is Tomasz Posadzki, the Foreign Ministry press service said.

 

Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Legal and Consular Affairs Lauri Bambus said that political, economic and cultural ties between Estonia and Poland are very good and close. “Poland is an important partner for Estonia, in terms of both historical experiences and security and foreign policy interests,” Bambus emphasised at the opening of the honorary consulate, writes LETA.

 

Bambus also pointed out that the honorary consul can provide help to Estonian citizens that may encounter problems and need aid while in the Pomeranian Voivodeship of Poland.

 

Tomasz Posadzki was born on 13 November 1961. He graduated from the University of Gdańsk in 1986. Tomasz Posadzki has his own law office and has earlier worked in the management of Polish National Television and as the mayor of Gdańsk.
