On Wednesday, the first 76-seat Embraer 170 passenger plane that Estonian Air leased from Finnair landed in Tallinn Airport, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

Estonian Air leases from Finnair four Embraer E-Jet-type planes. The first Embraer starts regular flights already in a few days time, the other three will arrive in Estonia in the coming weeks.

Estonian Air chose Embraer E-Jet-type planes to implement its long-term strategy. Embraer is the largest regional planes producing company.

Estonian Air estimates that the company needs 12 of these planes and is holding talks with the plane producer and leasing companies over the supply conditions and deadlines of the 8 planes, which should arrive in Estonia in 2013–2015.
