TEO LT to offer 300 Mbps Internet connection

Lithuania-based telecommunications company TEO LT will begin offering its ZEBRA Internet access service at up to 300 Mbps from May 16, 2011, Broadband TV News reports.

The maximum speed will be available to users of its Premium FTTH service, while the speed of its most popular plan Optimal FTTH will rise to 100 Mbps, informs LETA/ELTA.

 

In each instance, the residential customers will not incur any additional fees.

 

TEO LT's FTTH services are currently available to around half the population, or 570,000 households, with the fastest development being seen in the largest cities.

 

The enterprise plans to invest over 70 million litas this year on its FTTH network, which is being expanded to 50 cities.

 

As reported, the total consolidated revenues of Lithuania-based telecommunications company TEO Group in January-March was 186 million litas, down by 3.2% over the total revenue of 192 million litas in the first three months of 2010.

 

EBITDA of the company for the first three months of 2011 went down by 9.2% to 74 million litas over 81 million litas in the first three months of 2010.

 

EBITDA margin amounted to 39.8% (42.4% in 2010).
