Latvian hotel operator Mogotel Hotel Group has taken over the management of the Sky Loft Hotel Kyiv by Rixwell in the Ukrainian capital, Mogotel founder and owner Vadims Muhins informed LETA.

He said that the 27-story hotel building is already being managed by the Latvian operator. Previously, the Sky Loft Hotel Kyiv by Rixwell was operated by Mariott, using the Aloft Kiev brand. This is the first time Mogotel Hotel Group undertakes a full management of a hotel outside the Baltics.

"Although the tourism industry is globally affected by Covid-19, Mogotel Hotel Group seized the opportunity to become the operator of a famous hotel in Kyiv. By accepting this challenge, we started working in a new, very large market with a considerable growth potential. In this way, we are reinforcing our position as the leading hotel operator both in Latvia and beyond its borders," said Muhins.

Mogotel Hotel Group CEO Jelena Stirna said that by taking over the management of a hotel outside the Baltics the company is achieving its goals and following business plans.

The Sky Loft Hotel Kyiv by Rixwell (formerly Aloft Kiev Hotel) is situated in the Ukrainian capital city's  historical and business center, not far from Kyiv's main street Khreshchatyk, the National Sports Complex, St. Volodymyr's Cathedral and other landmark objects, as well as 33 kilometers from Boryspil International Airport.

The hotel is a 27-story building with 310 rooms, four conference halls, restaurant, hall, lounge and a round-the-clock fitness center.

Mogotel hotel operator works with Rixwell, Wellton, Rija Hotel, Ibis Style and Moreto hotel brands. In 2018, the company’s turnover was EUR 21.504 mln, while the company’s profit reached EUR 315,137.
