Latvia is marking the centenary of its aviation industry on Saturday

This Saturday, Latvia's airBaltic national carrier will take part in a festival marking the centenary of aviation in Latvia by performing a special low flyover with its Airbus A220-300 jet airliner at Spilve airfield, the company's representatives informed LETA.

The flyover of of the Airbus A220-300, which is scheduled to take place at 14:55, will be performed by experienced and highly qualified pilots from Latvia.
On display at the Spilve airfield will be Diamond DA40 aircraft that are used at airBaltic's Pilot Academy, with students and instructors from the academy expected to tell the audience about the profession of pilot.
Latvia is marking the centenary of its aviation industry this Saturday, August 15, with a festival at the Spilve airfield in Riga. Participants of the festival will be able to learn interesting facts about Latvia's aviation history and see aircraft of various types and generations.
