According to information provided by Liepaja SEZ, from August 13 Stena Line will offer freight forwarders ferry service on the Liepaja-Travemunder route with a stop in the Swedish port of Karlskrona, thus providing broader trade and transport opportunities between the Baltic states and southern Sweden.

Initially, the Stena Line ferry will only stop in Karlskrona on Thursday evenings en route from Liepaja to Travemunde.

Erik Thulin, the shipping company's trade director responsible for Stena Line ferry routes in the Baltic Sea, said that the company noticed increased demand for sea transport services in the Baltic region. Stena Line therefore aims to increase the number of departures and capacity on this route in the future.

Stena Line operates two RoPax vessels on the Liepaja-Travemunde route - the Stena Gothica and the Urd.

Stena Line is a Swedish ferry operator running 18 routes in Northern Europe.
