Natgas prices for Lithuanian households to go down 15–23% in July
BC, Vilnius, 28.05.2020.Print version
Natural gas prices for Lithuanian households will fall by 15-23 percent from July, the National Energy Regulatory Council (VERT) reported on Thursday after approving the new rates for customers of the gas supply company Ignitis, informed LETA/BNS.
The rates have been reduced due to low commodity prices prevailing in the market.
The variable price component for consumers using natural gas only for cooking (up to 300 cubic meters per year) will decline by 8 cents, or 14.55% to 47 cents per cubic meter (VAT included) and that for consumers using the fuel to heat their homes (between 300 and 20,000 cubic meters annually) will go down by 8 cents, or 22.22%, to 28 cents.
The variable price components for the third group of consumer (more than 20,000 cubic meters per year) will also decrease by 8 cents, or 22.86%, to 27 cents.
The fixed monthly price component will remain unchanged.
Gas rates for households fell by approximately 17.9% in January.
