Latvian-made online logistics platform available also in Lithuania and Estonia

Shippers Republic, an online transport logistics platform developed by Latvian company Fortuna Nostra, has started operating also in Lithuania and Estonia, the company's representatives informed BC.

The platform has been developed for two years, but responding to the the situation in the Baltics and Europe the platform's creator Rihards Averats has decided to launch the tool in Latvia earlier than planned, at the end of March, and now it is available also in the two other Baltic states. 


"This platform provides all the tools necessary to perform all cargo shipping-related functions, including finding a carrier and getting in touch, online. Since its launch, the Shippers Republic system has attracted more than 500 enterprises, including shippers and forwarders," Averats said. 


He said that all companies joining Shippers Republic are checked to prevent intermediaries from using the system. 


Basic principle of the Shippers Republic platform are similar to those used in ride-sharing apps. 


Fortuna Nostra, registered in November 2019, belongs to Rihards Averats (90%) and Niklavs Averats (10%), according to information available at Firmas.lv.
