Poland reenables passenger transit

BC, Riga, 25.05.2020.Print version
Poland has re-opened its borders to allow passenger transit for people travelling to their countries of residence, LETA found out from the Foreign Ministry.

Entry to Poland is granted to passengers from member states of the European Union, parties to the European Economic Area Agreement and citizens of Switzerland, their spouses and children who need to travel through the Polish territory in order to reach their permanent or registered place of residence, the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Transit time through Poland may not exceed 12 hours from entry to the state. No quarantine obligation is imposed upon arrival to Poland; however, people are required to cover their mouth and nose with a mask or item of clothing in public places.

Those seeking to travel through Poland for any other reason, such as for working in another state where they do not have a registered place of residence, are advised to contact the embassy.
