Finnair to add additional daily flight on Helsinki-London route during summer season
"London is one of the most popular of Finnair's destinations among Estonians. Starting from March 31, we will add a new midday departure on the route and another wide-body aircraft," said Arunas Skuja, manager for the Baltics and Eastern Europe at Finnair.
The additional flight will depart from Helsinki at 11:40 a.m. and the flight back from London will depart at 1:50 p.m. The additional flights will be serviced by Airbus A320 aircraft.
The carrier will also increase flight capacity on the London route. Namely, the 4 p.m. flight from Helsinki to London and the 6:10 p.m. flight from London to Helsinki will be serviced by a wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft. Compared with the current capacity, the change will add 50 seats to a flight.
During the 2019 summer season, Finnair will fly between Helsinki and London up to seven times per day, of which two will be with a wide-body aircraft. Compared with the 2018 summer schedule, the flight capacity on the route will increase by approximately 21%.
