In Q3 2018 FDI reinvestments went up in Lithuania

Bank of Lithuania and Statistics Lithuania has published the provisional data on direct investment (DI) for Q3 2018. The latest data release indicates that foreign direct investment (FDI) flow in Lithuania amounted to €85.3 mln. In Q3 2018, reinvestments went up and amounted to €464.3 mln.
The largest reinvestments were observed in Sweden (€127 mln)
and Hong Kong (€74.2 mln); while by type of activities – in manufacturing
(€159.2 mln) as well as finance and insurance (€99.3 mln) companies.
Cumulative FDI in Lithuania rose by 4.1% over the year and
stood at €15.5 bn. Lithuanian DI flow abroad was on a downward path in
Q3 2018 and amounted to -€1.2 mln. Lithuanian cumulative DI abroad
grew by 19% over the year and reached €3.7 bn as at
30 September 2018.
