Enterprise Lithuania to cooperate with Chinese bank
"The agreement will serve to discover mutually
beneficial business opportunities in trade, investment and
tourism," Lin Chen, counselor for economic and commercial affairs at
China's embassy in Vilnius, was quoted as saying in a press
release.
"I am confident that we will see more and more
Lithuanian products in Chinese stores and more and more Chinese companies
and tourists in Lithuania," he said.
Bank of China Limited is one of China's largest commercial
banks and it also operates in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
Lithuania's exports to China last year totaled 180 mln
euros, including 131 mln euros' worth of Lithuanian-origin goods (up by 40
percent compared with 2016).
The main export commodities were furniture, wood and
wood products, optical and measuring devices, surgical instruments, and
machinery and mechanical appliances.
