Latvia raises exports of forestry products by 9.5% in 4 months

Print versionIn the first four months of the year 2018, Latvia exported EUR 811.31 million worth of forestry products, up 9.5% against the same period last year, writes LETA, according to information released by the Agriculture Ministry.

Timber and timber products made up the bulk or 86.5% (85% a year ago) of total forestry product exports in the first four months of 2018, accounting for EUR 701.57 million and rising 11% year-on-year.
In January-April 2018, Latvia supplied forestry products mainly to the UK (15.8%), Sweden (13.1%) and Estonia (9.4%).
In the first four months of 2017, Latvia exported EUR 740.96 million worth of forestry products.
