Guinness World Record in 100 x 10 km relay set in Tallinn

A Guinness World Record was set in 100 x 10 km relay in Tallinn in nearly three days and the former record was beat by more than three hours, informs LETA/BNS.

The record was set on Kadrioru stadium to celebrate Estonia's centenary and the total time spent on running the distance of 100 x 10 km was 61 hours, 36 minutes and 6 seconds, organizer of the event said. The record is yet to be officially confirmed by Guinness World Records.


Many athletes and public figures took part in the run, and the first runner was Culture Minister Indrek Saar.


The present Guinness World Record in 100 x 10 km was set in 2015 in Illinois, U.S. and the distance was covered in 69 hours, 6 minutes and 52 seconds.


The event was organized by the Estonian Athletic Association with volunteers and supporters.
