Aeroflot to increase number of weekly Vilnius-Moscow flights

BC, Vilnius, 18.06.2018.Print version
Russia's largest airline company Aeroflot plans to increase the number of weekly flights between Vilnius and Moscow from two to three, state-run company Lithuanian Airports reports LETA/BNS.

Aurimas Stikliunas, head of the service department, noted that the number of passengers on this route has increased in recent years and continues growing.

"The number of passengers flying to Moscow has been growing fast in recent years and the number of passengers on the Aeroflot flight exceeded 136,000 last year," he said, adding that Moscow is not the final destination of the majority of passengers.

Due to a large number of connecting flights to other Russian cities and various Asian countries, Moscow airport is often a transit stop for many passengers, he said.
