Operator of Latvia's Livu Akvaparks sees 5.7% sales growth in 2017

Akvaparks, the operator of Livu Akvaparks, one of the largest water amusement parks in the Baltic states, last year generated EUR 4.639 million in sales, up 5.7% from a year ago, while the company's profit dropped 5.6% to EUR 435,992, informs LETA, according to the company's financial report submitted to the Latvian business register.

The company’s management said that last year the amusement park received 252,000 visitors, which is by 3.3% more than in 2016. The visitors represented 58 countries.


The company’s profit before taxes increased from EUR 601,197 in 2016 to EUR 612,806 in 2017. The company last year also paid EUR 1.7 million in taxes to the local authority of Jurmala.


Akvaparks, established in 2000, has a share capital of EUR 4.13 million. The company belongs to Korporativa Sabiedriba (66.54%), Uniholding (15.72%), Art Management (11.11%) and Etro Serviss (6/.1%).
