Turnover of LDz Logistika reaches EUR 24.7 mln in 11 months

LDz Logistika, a subsidiary of Latvian state-owned railway company Latvijas Dzelzcels, in the first 11 months of 2017 posted EUR 24.7 million in turnover, which almost doubled from the respective period last year, said the company’s board chairman Verners Lusis at the meeting of the Latvian ports, transit and logistics council on Wednesday, cites LETA.

Lusis said that this year the company expanded its cooperation with the Belarus railway company, attracting also partners in China and Germany. Next year the company will continue the launched cooperation, especially with cargo owners and India’s ports, to launch test train from Mumbai to Latvia in cooperation with Russian companies RZD Logistika and Belarus railway company.


In 2017, a cooperation agreement has been signed with Kazakh company KTZ Express. This year an agreement has been reached also with DHL Global Forwarding on placing information on its electronic system, offering customers to use Latvian transit corridor.


Also, work has been launched to attract partners in the Scandinavian and European countries.


Next year the Latvian transit and logistics companies plan to participate in exhibitions in India, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Uzbekistan, also possibly in Iran and Ukraine.
