BC, Tallinn, 12.12.2017.Print version
Taxify, a taxi hailing app of Estonian origin, on December 12 Australian time launched in Sydney, where the company is to start with 4,000 registered drivers, the daily Sydney Morning Herald said, cites LETA/BNS.
Taxify launched services
in Sydney on December 12 and is planning to start operating also in Melbourne
in the next few weeks, Taxify's
Australia country manager Samuel Raciti
said.
Raciti said customers could expect a discount of 50 per cent for the first
month on what they paid elsewhere, and by the end of next year Taxify intended to be about 5 per cent
cheaper than competitors.
"We are certain that locals are looking for an alternative
ride-sharing opportunity and Taxify
has decided to give both passengers and drivers what they want," Taxify founder and CEO Markus Villig.
